How important is it for a diabetic to have a flu shot?

Bozz Mozz asked:

Is its purpose one-more proactive measure to prevent an illness? Or does it put a diabetic in the ICU? Do people still die from the flu? Can the flu kill a type 1 diabetic?
Oh, excuse me - - I get how that reads now. I meant does the flu put someone in the ICU, not the shot.

Thoughts On Used Salon Equipment

September 26th, 2009 | Posted in Health & Fitness :: Beauty   Add Comment

So lately I’ve been wondering about used salon equipment.
I’ve always been frugal. There’s no reason to change that with regard to starting my salon business.
From what I’ve read about used salon chairs, it’s easy enough to find pieces in good condition, which is great.
My customers will never know the difference, honestly.
More on this soon.

How important is it that a diabetic eat on time?

TOQ asked:

My brother, sister-in-law & nephew have a diabetic cat. When I take care of my nephew I also take care of their cat. Sometimes when my nephew and I are out we get back 15 min to 30 min late for for the cat’s 1:00 feeding. Last time I actually got back an hour late.

Is this bothering the cat or not? It’s hard to tell with him, since he just lays around all day, and sleeps.

Would he be feeling worse?

The diabetes has goten much better and he doesn’t need to be given insulin anymore. It’s controled by diet.

Dan

What is the basic principal of eating as a diabetic?

got theanswer asked:

I have recently been diagnosed as a “borderline diabetic”.

I am almost 41 years old. I have illiminated sugar and white flour to the best of my ability from my diet and eat three meals a day with a snack in the evening. So far, I have lost 15 pounds in 30 days; my current weight is 235.0 lbs and I am 5′10″.

My question is, what is the basic principal of eating as a diabetic? Is there an amount of protein/carbs/fat that one should eat to maintain a constant glucose level in the blood? Or a specific timing?

Thank you so much for your help.

Bobby
