First comes the ability to pay close attention to every details, because in dentistry, the small things mean a lot. Next comes the ability to calm down the patients, help them relax and feel more comfortable in the environment, because a lot of people get really nervous when they have to visit the doctor's lab. So you must posses good communication and interpersonal skills. Anoth er useful personal characteristic is to be steady and calm, and not get nervous when under pressure or in emergencies. Good organizational and time management skills are also required.
