Increased Risk Of Heart Attack And Stroke

According to the Women's Health Initiative trial examination for heart disease, it is believed that the menopausal women who have panic disorder and many panic attacks have higher risk of getting a heart attack or stroke.  Furthermore, their children are more prone to child anxiety disorders

In this study, it is also stated that panic attacks, or more accurately their associated symptoms such as dynpnea, and chest pain are the result of undiagnosed cardiovascular disease. This undiagnosed cardiovascular disease promotes the heart damage due to having a cardiovascular stress in person who has a panic disorder and many panic attacks over a period of years.
