childrenwith diabetes.com is the best website ever. It is for type 1 and 2 diabetics, family members, and everyone else. I have been diabetic for 32 years and love it. There is a penpal (email) section there.

contact your local diabetes society. do a google or yahoo search to find the nearest society to you.I am in New Zealand and here with a total population of 4.5 million we have over 25 district societies that cater to children youth and adults plus Diabetes New Zealand which acts as the parent body

I am not a diabetic, but my 2 year old daughter is a type 1.

I add most of the type 1 diabetics (or parents of) that I meet in this forum to my friends list. And I’ve met a number of other very nice people here too.

I’m going to add you to my friends list, and if you like you can add me too :o) Email me anytime you like … sometimes I don’t get back right away because I am a serious procrastinator, but eventually I do.

And I’m going to star your question, so hopefully some of my diabetic contacts will see you and add you too.

Are you a type 1? If so, you can try to contact your local branch of the JDRF:

They can introduce you to some others in your area who are having the same problems you are.
