Posted by admin

Cardiomyopathy disease refers to that disease which affects the heart muscle of a person. The word myopathy literally refers to muscle disease. It is caused when the function of the myocardium gets deteriorated due to some reasons. This could also lead to other heart disease such as sudden cardiac death.

Cardiomyopathy disease is of two types. One is extrinsic cardiomyopathy and the other one is intrinsic cardiomyopathy. The extrinsic one is more common amongst the two. The intrinsic one causes weakness in the heart muscles. But this is triggered by an external cause only.
