Alcoholic Recovery- Patient’s Guide

Posted by admin

Getting rid of alcohol addiction is possible through detox and rehabilitation. However during and after an alcoholic recovery programe, a patient may experience some side effects too. The patient undergoing detox and rehab may feel ill and sometimes may even experience some violent reactions in their body.

During the withdrawal from alcohol, the patient may suffer from problems like insomnia, depression and anxiety. In extreme cases, the patient may also experience tremors or seizures. They may even suffer from hallucinations.

So, it is important for the patient to be prepared for these problems while getting into a professional detox and rehab program. Also the professionals providing the program should help the patient develop a strong will power to cope up with these problems.
