With choices that range from the typical upright styles to the recumbent exercise bike it is possible to find a bike that will fit your personality, as well as your personal workout goals. If you find that you are not comfortable on a traditional bike, a recumbent exercise bike could be the perfect answer for your needs since it will shift the weight and allow you a bit of greater comfort while working out.

Why Use A Personal Trainer?

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

One of the best aspects of using a personal traineris that he or she will keep you motivated to exercise as often as you use them.  One of the things people have a problem with when it comes to exercise is that they do not follow through.  It can be difficult to stay motivated if no one is on your back to continue to work out.  A personal trainer is the person who will keep you exercising and on track for either losing weight or toning up your body.  A personal trainer not only helps you exercise, but helps you to exercise the right way, making certain that you use gym equipment properly and to the best advantage so that you can achieve results.  The reason so many people rely on personal trainers is because they help them stay motivated and fit.

One where the streets are blanketed in snow and ice for half the year? One idea to consider is an exercise bicycle. With an exercise bike, you can sit in the comfort of your home, read, watch tv, or simply pedal, without worrying about falling because of slippery conditions. Kettler Rowing Machines Provide Luxury While Exercising

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

The Kettler rowing machines provide luxury while exercising. As far as rowing machines go, you can anticipate paying slightly higher prices for this piece of fitness equipment. However, you can exercise while you are reclining. You can take advantage of the computer on board that always displays six functions to help make certain that you have the most intensive workout possible and to monitor your activity level while you are exercising and rowing. This is a terrific advantage over some other brands and models of rowing machines because you are in total control of your workout and your fitness routine.

You May Want to Hold Off on the Exercise Machines

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

This is the time of the year when lots of people decide to start an exercise program. However, If you're thinking of buying some used exercise machines for your home gym, try and wait a couple of months. By then, half of the people starting to work out now will have their equipment up for sale. Now, I'm not suggesting that you wait a few months to start exercising. There are plenty of things you can do without machines. Actually, bodyweight exercises are one of the current workout fads, along with something called functional fitness. So work on a basic program of pushups, bodyweight squats, situps, pullups, dips between sturdy chairs and a few other bodyweight movements, and you'll have a good base for when you do get that equipment.

Finding a Good Pilates Class

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Looking for a good class offering Pilates exercises? Here are some places you’ll want to check out!

·         Health & Fitness Clubs: Large group sessions are often free, while more private sessions can range from $20 to $200 depending on how private.  Group settings can be good for socializing or bad for concentration.

·         Pilates Studios: The instructors are generally very well-trained.  The schedule is more flexible and there’s plenty of exercise equipment.  The drawback is that Pilates studios run higher than even personal club sessions.

·         Self-Instruction Online/DVD:  The advantageous are obvious—work around your schedule in the comfort of your own home.  The big trade-off here is feedback.  You’ll be left alone to figure out if you’re performing the exercises correctly.

There are pros and cons to each option.  So decide what’s right for you and then get started!
