Psychological Causes Of Anorexia- Most Difficult To Treat
Saturday, June 7th, 2008There are various physical, psychological and intentional factors that cause anorexia. Out of these factors, the psychological causes of anorexia are the most difficult to treat. These causes are usually related to the depression, stress and anxiety caused by the patient's body weight and appearance.
The patient's mind is disillusioned to such a limit that even if they are fit, they will think of themselves as fat. Usually psychotherapy is recommended to correct the behavioral and thought building patterns of the patient. However many patients fall into relapse, even after a full fledged treatment because of the denial to consider the condition as a disorder.
