For many, the symptoms of upset stomach, burning in the chest and throat, and sour taste are all too familiar: These people have the condition known as acid reflux disease, or GERD. People with GERD must go through endless worry over when their next flare-up will occur – and it usually happens at night, at bedtime. When you have to deal with a burden that keeps you up half the night, and then must get up first thing in the morning for work, it’s a pretty big deal. This is why we can be happy that acid reflux disease treatment is available.
