Herbs for menopause
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008There should be no guilt about wanting to live a normal life each month so why put up with pain? Often menstrual cramps are just one aspect of the discomfort because they can also be accompanied by nausea and the feeling of eating a very large meal. I just didn't want to continue enduring the pains almost every month so I started looking around for menstrual cramp relief remedies - one that worked for me contained some natural herbs for menopause. There were times I thought my stomach was being crushed whilst others there was little discomfort at all!
Sometimes, my relief comes in the form of a heating pad which I normally use on my stomach, and other times it works best when placed on my back. Many women that try this method are those that just prefer not to take any form of oral medication.
This may not be that effective for women that exhibit painful and disabling menstrual cramps each cycle: they might want something more powerful. If this is a problem that affects your work attendance then you may need to do something about it before it damages your chance of promotion.
If this has happened to you, you should make an appointment to talk to your doctor about finding menstrual cramp relief. Quite often it can be a simple case of being prescribed one of the birth control pills as these are effective for many women and this might be something your doctor recommends.
Just remember to talk about your health matters with your doctor to see if it is safe for you to be on the Pill, and remember, this isn't an option if you are trying to get pregnant and in that case, you may just have to grin and bear your discomfort. You can get relief from those awful cramps if you try enough different remedies because it is only a matter of time.
