Passive Smoking & The Health Of Your Loved Ones
Wednesday, February 13th, 2008Many people do not realize just how harmful passive smoking can be to the people around them. Ironically enough, if you ask any smoker who has a family what it is they cherish the most in life, they'll reply back that their spouse and children mean the world to them. However, why is it that they continue to smoke in and around their loved ones? Do they not realize that severe health problems, and even death, have been attributed to passive smoking? To better illustrate the severity of the issue in connection with passive smoking and health effects of smoking on non-smokers, an article posted from the Journal of the American Medical Association claimed that up to 40,000 deaths each year during the 1980s was directly caused by passive smoking. This included men, women, and even babies that died of sudden infant death syndrome due to passive smoking and/or parental smoking.
