Uses For A Medicine Ball

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

A Medicine ball is a very versatile pice of equipment, especially in the sporting world. It's main use is for strength training when you need to target particular muscle groups. It is also commonly used in sports injuries to reduce healing time and build strength in injured areas of the body. You can buy a medicine ball and make use of it whether you are a boxer, an athelete, or even a baseball player. It weighs anywhere between five and fifteen pounds and is relatively small. This means that you can transport it easily in your sports bag and also find a place for it at home which is a big plus when you compare it to most other pices of gym equipment.

Recovery and Pancreas Cancer

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

There are certain cancers that have a high recovery rate, or at least give patients hope for recovery, but pancreas cancer is not one of them. Most patients who are diagnosed with this form of cancer are given 3-5 years, and that is an optimistic point of view. There are some who live far beyond this time frame, but many more do not even make it to the three year mark. Doctors are unsure of why patients differ in this way.

Use Essential Oils for a Wonderful Massage

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

I frequently get a massage. The massage helps me to relax, unwind, and escape the rigors of everyday life. My massage therapist adds a few drops of essential oils into the massage lotion. These essential massage oil products help my massage go to a new level. If I am very stressed, a few drops of essential oil of lavender really helps me to unwind and relax (although I wouldn't want to use lavender oil first thing in the morning!). However, there are times when I feel exhausted and drained so I need to be rejuvenated. It is at these times when I will use essential oil of eucalyptus or essential oil of spearmint or peppermint. These oils awaken my body and make me feel energized and refreshed.
