Ruptured Breast Implant Symptoms Subtle

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

The symptoms for ruptured breast implants can be very subtle and not always noticeable at first. The primary cause for a rupture is a leakage in the valves to the implant. If the implants are silicone, often the leakage will be slow and the patient will notice soreness in the chest or underarm areas of the body. This is because the silicone may have stayed in the implant and be leaking slowly. A very noticeable ruptured breast implant symptom is the decreased size of the breast that can be small or quite significant depending on the severity of the rupture. Whether it is a small or large rupture, notify your health care provider immediately.
